Soaps and Potions is a small, family-run business. We work from home in southwest Ohio

Alex, my husband, works in a retail environment, though he is always open to new possibilities. He likes to flint-knap and go arrowhead hunting in his spare time.

We have three children who do various things around the house and at shows to help out.

I am mainly a stay-at-home mom, though I do work for an in-bound telemarketing firm currently, which means if you call to order a pizza from a major pizza chain, there is a slim possibility you will talk to me (especially if you live in the Dallas area or even Boulder Colorado!) I have been a volunteer breastfeeding counselor for many years and enjoy the work I do with online chats for that organization.

A male counterpoint to our Carnival (Pink Sugar). A blast of toasted caramelized sugar gives way to cedar and tonka bean. Patchouli, licorice, lavender, heliotrope and Coriander as middle notes. Tops notes of bergamot and Mandarin are joined by star anise ginger.

Woodsy and warm, Forest Muse wonderfully blends fern, cypress, Siberian fir and pine needles with sweet bay and wax myrtle. Just a touch of cinnamon and cardamom and infused with rich oak moss rounds out and warms this great scent.
